Understanding the Capacity Calendar
The Capaciy Calendar can be set up using a variety of Metrics, based on what makes the most sense for tracking and monitoring. The Metic is displayed as a number over a total number, acting as a numerator and a denominator.
If of interest, users can choose to display one or two metrics at a time on the calendar using a Primary Metric to display one, and a Secondary Metric to display two
Example of a Primary Metric only
In this example, we're using the # of Jobs metric
Example of both a Primary and Secondary Metric
In this example, we're using the # of Jobs metric and # of Trucks Committed / # of Available Trucks as the secondary metric
Metrics to choose from:
- # of Jobs
- # of Crew Committed / # of Available Crew
- # of Trucks Committed / # of Available Trucks
- # of Trucks Committed / # of Available Crew for Position
- # of Crew Committed for Position / # of Available Crew for Position
Accessing Capacity Calendar Settings
1. Start by going to Settings (Gear Icon) in the top right corner of the Office App
2. Click on Manage Moves
3. Scroll down to Capacity Calendar and click Edit
4. Update the Primary Metric and (if desired) Secondary Metric, then Save
Metrics Explained
Metric: # of Jobs
This will display the Total Number of Jobs booked for each day. It's useful for tracking total commitments over a 30-day view
Example on June 5th: If you choose to track # of Jobs, booking 1 Job will display 1 Total jobs
Metric: # of Crew Committed / # of Available Crew
This will display the Number of Crew Members Committed against the Total Number of Available Crew Members you have on your account. This is useful for monitoring staffing levels and when you're approaching daily limits based on booked moves
Example on June 5th: If you choose to track # of Crew Committed / # of Available Crew, and you have 15 Crew Members on your account, assigning 1 Crew Member will display 1/15 Crew committed
Metric: # of Trucks Committed / # of Available Trucks
This will display the Number of Trucks Committed against the Total Number of Available Trucks you have on your account. This is useful for monitoring truck count particularly if you do not have rentals or temporary trucks available at your disposal
Example on June 5th: If you choose to track # of Trucks Committed / # of Available Trucks, and you have 4 Trucks on your account, assigning 1 Truck will display 1/4 Trucks committed
Metric: # of Trucks Committed / # of Available Crew for Position
This will display the Number of Trucks Committed based on what position you elect as Must be on a Truck, against # of Crew Available in that Position
Example on June 5th: If you choose to track # of Trucks Committed / # of Available Crew for Position based on Drivers, and you have 5 Drivers on your account, assigning 1 Truck will display 1/5 Drivers committed
Metric: # of Crew Committed for Position / # of Available Crew for Position
This will display the Number of Crew Members by Position Committed against Total Number of Crew Members Available in that Position, on your account
Example on June 5th: If you choose to track # of Crew Committed for Position / # of Available Crew for Position, and you have 3 Movers on your account, assigning 1 Mover will display 1/5 Movers committed
