Overview
Now you can jazz up your documents with rich text features! Users can personalize documents by adding bold, italics, underlining, changing font size, color, and highlighting text elements. Plus, we've made some tweaks to improve the document creation and editing experience.
Rich Text Document Editor
In the document editor, you'll notice a new "Text" option, replacing the old "Paragraph", "Paragraph Title", and "Section Title". This change allows for rich text editing across all document sections.
Here's what you can do with the rich text editor:
- Change font style
- Adjust font size
- Apply bold
- Use italics
- Underline text
- Add strikethrough
- Insert links
- Align text
- Create numbered or bullet point lists
- Modify font colors
- Highlight text backgrounds
- Clear formatting
The preview for the Text option displays all formatting, giving you a glimpse of how it will appear on the tablet and in the generated PDF.
The previous "Section Title" style is now labeled as "Heading 1", "Paragraph Title" is now "Heading 2", and "Paragraph" text is termed "Normal".
Document Enhancements
In addition to rich text support, you'll now see a preview of the text contained within each document item, making it easier to locate and edit specific items.
With Text items now supporting more formatting options, we've introduced the "Merge text blocks" feature, allowing contiguous Text items to be merged into one. While the document's appearance remains largely unchanged, this can significantly reduce the number of items within a document.
In our example, the "Agreement for Moving Services" went from over 20 document items to just 9!
Finally, we've enhanced the right-side document preview to be more interactive. Clicking on the document will highlight and open the edit interface for the selected item. This enables you to pinpoint the exact text you wish to edit and make changes directly.
