Overview
In the past, duplicating a project would carry over the same client information from the original project to the duplicate. Any alterations made to the client information would consequently affect all other projects' client details. Now, you have the option to reset the client information and make modifications that will only impact the new duplicate project.
Duplicate a Project
With the duplicate function now available at the project level, you can now easily replicate information from an existing project to create a new one. This includes details such as the number of jobs, client and billing information, as well as all project notes (Office, Dispatch & Crew).
To duplicate a project, simply click the three dots next to the project name/number. Then, under the Project tab, you'll find the option to duplicate.
Reset Client
After duplicating the project, a pop-up window will appear on the right side. From there, you'll have the choice to retain the Client information from the original project or to Reset Client.
- To retain Client Information, simply click on Duplicate on the button right.
- To Reset Client, click on the option located on the top right.
These updates provide you with greater control over project duplication, minimizing unintended changes to existing client data while streamlining the process of creating new projects with similar details. For additional information, visit How to Reset, Cancel or Duplicate a Job
