Overview
In Supermove, it’s important to understand the difference between projects and jobs. In this article, we will outline:
- The difference between projects and jobs
- Settings that are configured on the project level
- Settings that are configured on the job level
Project vs. Job
A project is the overall type of move project you are performing for the customer. Common examples of project types include:
- Local Move
- Intrastate Move
- Interstate Move
- Commercial Move
A job is an individual service or day within the project that you are performing for the customer. Common examples of job types include:
- Survey
- Move
- Pack
- Load
- Unload
A ‘Survey’ job is an onsite or virtual appointment for doing an on-site inventory survey. This shows on the Survey Calendar |
One project can contain one or multiple jobs. Please see the diagram below:
When considering the settings you’d like to customize and adjust in your Supermove account, please note that some settings are made on the project level, whereas others are made on the individual job level
Which Settings are Made on the Project Level?
The following settings can be adjusted for each project type:
- Quote Process
- Quote email template
- Quote documents
- Confirmation Process
- Confirmation email template
- Confirmation letter
- Confirmation steps (e.g., deposit, waivers, etc.)
- Invoices
- Invoice email template
- Invoice document
- Invoice Payment terms
- Valuation Coverage Options
- Crew App Payment Methods
- Survey Tool Inventory Library
Steps to view your Project Level Settings:
- Navigate to Settings and click Project Types
- Here, you will see your current list of Project Types
- When you click a project type, several configurable tabs appear
Which Settings are Job Level?
The following settings can be adjusted for each job type:
- Crew App Steps and Settings
- Customer Texts About Crew Departure and Crew Tracking
- Crew App Documents
Steps to view your Job-level Settings:
- Navigate to Settings and click Project Types
- Click on a specific project type, and then click on a specific job type
- You will see tabs titled Configuration and Crew Steps, where you can make adjustments to the settings listed above for that particular job type
