Overview
Our Date Range Jobs (also referred to as Spread Jobs) feature allows you to earmark a series of days on your Supermove calendar in the event you do not yet know when a job may be fully completed. Why may this happen? There are two situations that typically come to mind --
Situation 1: A multi-day project in which there is flexibility on when a particular job can occur
For example, you may be coordinating a long distance move across the country. You know the day when the crews will be expected to pack and load the truck, but you do not have confidence the date when the crews will arrive at the customer's new home to deliver the belongings. In this circumstance, you'd want flexibility to indicate a range of dates in the Supermove system for when the delivery will occur.
Situation 2: A multi-day project in which the same job will occur multiple times over a period of time
For example, you may be coordinating a week-long move for a commercial client in which the same crew will be moving and packing supplies over the course of 7-days. Instead of needing to create 7 jobs one by one in the Supermove platform, you can quickly block off a series of days with a few clicks so your crew can easily pull up the repeating job on the crew app each day throughout the week.
How to Organize a Date Range Job
The process of organizing a series of dates for a job closely mirrors that of your typical Create Project flow. However, when you are at the point where you can indicate a date, you will instead want to click the +End Date button as seen here to indicate a series of days:
Doing so will allow you to input a range of days for the job:
Upon saving, your Job Page will reflect the Date Range like this at the top of the screen:
Impact of Date Range Jobs on the Moves Calendar
Each of the days indicated in the range will display your job on the Moves Calendar. For example, if you create a date range of Dec 13 - 14, the Moves Calendar will display your job on each of those days as seen here:
And then here:
Impact of Date Range Jobs on the Dispatch tab
If you assign trucks and crews to the Date Range job, the assigned trucks and crews will automatically populate across each job within that date range.
For example, if you create a Date Range job for December 14 -19 and assign Truck #3 and movers Amanda and Chris, that truck and those individuals will automatically be assigned for that job on Dec 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19, as seen here:
And then here:
Impact of Date Range Jobs on the Crew App
Once dispatched, your assigned crews will be able to view and access the job on any day within your Date Range. For example, if you have a Date Range of December 13-14, and the crew member launches the Crew App on the tablet on December 14, the job will display like this to complete:
The crew member will then be able to proceed forward on the tablet, similar to any other job.
Completing Jobs in a Date Range
Once the crew completes a job within a Date Range, the Office App will display the completed Job as a nested page on the Job Page, as seen here:
Please note, currently, the Supermove platform will not be able to automatically determine when the the Date Range has been successfully completed. For example, if you create a date range job of December 13-17, and the crew conducts a job on December 15th, the system will not know if the Range has been satisfied or if additional jobs are expected to be completed on the 16th and 17th. As a result, once you have determined the Date Range has been completed, you will need to click the Mark This Job Complete button.
