Introduction
Your Supermove account can be configured to maintain and operate multiple locations, or branches. This multi-branch (multibranch) configuration would allow you to oversee an account that displays all job and customer information across all your locations, while granting office users at those other locations access to their own Supermove accounts that display job and customer information for only that particular branch.
For example, your central account would give you all job visibility like this:
While an individual branch would log-in to a Supermove account that shows them only their jobs:
Other benefits you'll find by applying a multi-branch set-up are as follows:
- Centralized reporting: all reports in the central account display data from moves across every location, while an individual branch will only see data from their own jobs
- Access to documents: the central account will have access to all signed documents from all jobs, while an individual branch will only have access to documents from their own jobs
Common Multi-Branch Set-ups
A multi-branch set-up can be configured and personalized in a few different ways based on your organization's preferences. The most common are as follows:
Option 1: Subcontractor Model
Use Case: You do not maintain your own employees. Instead, you have relationships with other moving companies and assign them jobs to complete on your behalf.
In this configuration, you'll have a central Supermove account that will have the ability to create and assign jobs to other branches. These other branches will have access to their own separate Supermove accounts where they can view and complete their assigned jobs. The branches do not have the ability to create or book new jobs on their own.
From your central Supermove account, you'll be able to create jobs and then assign the job to a specific contractor organization as seen here:
In this example, contractor Andy would log-into his own Supermove account, where he would have access to this job assignment:
From there, contractor Andy would click into the job and assign his movers, who would then complete it on the tablet:
Option 2: Multi-Location Model
Use Case: You maintain offices/branches in multiple locations. Each branch has its own office staff and crew members who create, organize, and complete their own jobs.
With this configuration, you'll be able to view all jobs across the entire organization from your central Supermove account. Although you will have the ability to create and assign jobs to different offices, the branches will be able to create and book new jobs from scratch from their own Supermove accounts. And while it is possible for project types, job types, email templates, and billing items to be copied and pasted across all your locations, your different branches will have the ability to create their own personalized settings (e.g. sales tax for their location, different discounts, different documents).
For example, notice how this individual branch has the + New Project button available to input a brand new job:
In addition, the individual branch has access to the Settings tab to personalize and configure different templates and items, such as Billing Settings:
Option 3: Multi-Job Model
Use Case: You are an enterprise-sized moving company and have functional teams in the office dedicated to work on specific types of jobs. You have a dispatch and operations team that works exclusively on local jobs, another team that works only on commercial jobs, and another that works on just longdistance jobs.
With this configuration, you'll be able to optimize workflows by customizing the Supermove experience so teams can only view and access specific types of jobs. You'll still have a central account that can view all moves, but you'll now have branch accounts that now represent a specific job type.
For example, this would be the Supermove account for the Commercial-job team to access and view, depicting all of the Commercial job assignments:
Your central account, though, would depict all of the different jobs across the entire organization:
And from your central Dispatch tab, you'll be able to see a clear breakdown of all your moves based on their job type as seen here:
Features and Comments to Keep in Mind
As you consider multi-branch possibilities, here are a few other things to keep in mind:
- Accessing a central account and individual branch accounts requires separate log-in credentials
If you are a central account user, you currently cannot simply toggle and hop-into the environment of one of the individual branch accounts. You would need log-out of your central account and log-in with a separate credential to that branch environment. - It is possible to filter jobs from your central account through the Bookings tab
You can use this interface to sort and filter your calendar to easily determine how many jobs are occurring across your different branches - It is possible to configure branches so they can only view jobs on the branch account 24-48 hours in advance
This is helpful if you continuously sort and update job assignments throughout the week. By restricting how soon the branch account can see the job, you can have the flexibility to make adjustments before the posting is reflect on their Supermove branch account - It is possible to assign multiple branches to the same job
If you have an intensive job that requires resources from multiple branches or locations, you can assign additional branches via the Multi-Contractor toggle
This will allow the job to be visible on both branches Supermove accounts for them to assign the appropriate crew members and trucks to carry out the assignment.
